Priceline Haul ǀ First Impressions

Last week Priceline had 40% off all cosmetics so of course I had to pick up a few things and share them with you!
Hope you enjoy :)

Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder- Deep Natural (RRP: $11.95)
After hearing Brittney Lee Saunders rave about this, I knew I had to give it a go. I usually use the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder but I don't like to carry it around in my handbag as I'm scared the cheap plastic lid will crack. This is why I was so happy to hear about the Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder as it's a compact powder that even includes a mirror! The actual formula of this powder is great too and works just as well as my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

Essence Lipliner- 07 Cute Pink (RRP: $2.00)
I've never really seen the point in lipliners but lately the rave has been all about slightly overdrawing the lips so I thought I might as well give it ago. This was the very last Essence lipliner in stock so I just had to get it! The quality is amazing for the price and so is the colour pay off!

Australis Lip Pencil- Tickled Pink (RRP: $8.95)
I really wanted a lip liner that matched the colour of my lips so I could overdraw them a little, pop a clear lipgloss on top and have natural, fabulous, fuller lips. The Essence lipliner seemed a little too pink so I picked up this Australis one too. I am so glad I did because the colour matches perfectly and the formula is great too. It was obviously a lot pricier than the Essence one but I love the colour so much that I don't mind paying a bit more.

Essence I Love Extreme- Volume Mascara (RRP: $5.75)
After my beloved Maybelline The Falsies Mascara officially died, I decided to spread my wings and try something new. Again, I saw Brittney Lee Saunders use this Essence mascara in one of her videos  and it seemed to work well so I decided to try it. After using it for about a week, I have concluded that I like this mascara but I don't love it. I'm not sure if it's just because it's new but the product clumps slightly as you apply it. Apart from that it's a lovely mascara with a great applicator and I will continue using it until it runs out!

Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder- Blondes (RRP: $6.15)
Another YouTuber recommendation is this Essence bronzer by the beautiful Karissa Pukas. My usual bronzer/contour shade is part of the limited edition Face of Australia Contouring Kit. As it's limited edition, I can't get it anymore :( so I was on the hunt for another one. Since Karissa had raved and raved about it, I thought, why not. Unfortunately they didn't have the colour for brunettes but as I just wanted it for a general bronzer and not a contour shade I bought it anyway. When I swatched this, I was a little scared it would be too orange as it has a very obvious orange undertone but through blending you can achieve a really nice 'summer glow'.

Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set- 01 Natural (RRP: $5.10)
I'm just going to start this by saying I have a love/hate relationship with my eyebrows. They're great for framing your face and completing your look but when it comes to shaping them and filling them in... absolute torture. I have very dark eyebrows (practically black) but when I use either a black eyebrow pencil or a black eyeshadow to fill them in, they turn into burnt slugs. I've tried using dark brown shades in the past but nothing looked natural enough. I thought this would be the same old story but I was pleasantly surprised. The darkest shade in the set isn't the exact shade of my brows but it comes very close. Through experimenting, I now apply this shade in short sweeping motions with an angled brush and then I use a tiny bit of the Maybelline EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Pot Liner in Charcoal on top to darken them a little. I found that these two products work together really nicely and make me hate my eyebrows a little less. I also forgot to mention that this kit comes with 3 eyebrow stencils and a little angled brush that I'm never going to use :p

KATY PERRY CONCERT ǀ My Experience

So let's start this post by saying I'm sorry...
I was meant to write this 2 weeks ago but then studying and exams got in the way so I just
didn't have time :(

Anyways, on the 15th of November myself and 4 other friends experienced a night
that we will never forget. We arrived at Ethihad Stadium full of excitement at 12:30pm.
That's right ladies and gentlemen, we were going to wait 7 hours to be at the front of the mosh pit to see the one and only KATY PERRY.
To my surprise there were only 3 groups of people already waiting, so we were practically at the front of the line! Now I'm going to be honest with you, those were the slowest 7 hours of my life.
No food, repetitive music or constant instagram checking made time go any faster.
But nonetheless it was SO worth it.
6:30pm came and the massive dash up the stairs begun.
I really wanted to sneak in my DSLR camera so I brought a bag and had to have a bag check whilst the rest of my friends sprinted away and left me.
Luckily for us, we were all able to find each other again at the front of the cue!!
We had to wait here until the doors opened at 7:30pm where the second mad rush happened as everyone flooded the stadium. We managed to get a spot on the right-hand side of the triangle at the point, just behind the VIP's.

The actual concert was pure amazement. Being a dancer myself, I was so overwhelmed with the amount of skill her dancers had as well as Katy Perry herself. She sung all her songs to absolute perfection and the stage lighting and effects were just incredible. One of my favourite moments from the concert was when the little boy next to me got called up on stage to receive pizza from Katy Perry. I did shed a few tears at this very cute moment but I must admit I also cried because it wasn't me (Lame I know but I was so close!!). I'm having trouble expressing how spectacular it was so I'm going to leave you with some pictures as sometimes pictures speak louder than words!

Hope you enjoy :)

Party ǀ GRWM

Hello lovelies! I hope you're all having a nice weekend :)
Last night I went to a partaaay and I thought you might want to see how I got ready! I'm hoping to make this into a series of GRWM blogposts so please leave a comment if you like this sort of thing.

Hair
For my hair I went for one of my all time favourite hairstyles. First I straightened it, then parted it in the centre and then made two braids on either side making sure I had little bits of hair at the front.
I then tied both of those braids together using a black elastic.
Simple as that!

Outfit
My black cropped top is actually the bodice part of a dress that I got from an op shop.
I basically just chopped off the skirt and neatened up the edge.
It wasn't as simple as it sounds but it sure was worth it!

I then paired this with a white skort from Valleygirl. I usually stick to flowy skirts and stay away from shorts and tight skirts as I have fairly large thighs so this was definitely a bold move for me. Instead of a straight line skirt I opted for this skort that has two triangle panels that overlap so if didn't make my legs appear as large as they would in a pencil skirt. We all know that white looks the best on tanned bodies so I fake tanned the night before using Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in dark.

As the outfit was very monochrome, I decided to add a pop of colour on my feet. These very high wedges are from Betts and I absolutely love them! The only problem is that I have quite broad feet so my toes don't exactly peep though the peep toe :')

As for accessories, I kept it simple with plain silver jewellery. My thumb ring is from Lovisa's sterling silver range and my matching heart ring and necklace are from Proud Jewellers.

Real Techniques ǀ First Impressions

I've been looking for good quality but affordable makeup brushes for a while now and I've finally found them! Everyone meet Real Techniques.
You've probably already heard all about them but for those of you who haven't, let me introduce you.
These super soft synthetic brushes are made by Sam and Nic from pixiwoo on YouTube. In Australia these brushes are waaaay overpriced compared to other countries so I ordered mine through a website called iHerb.com. I would advise anyone who lives in Australia to do the same!
I purchased the Core Collection, Expert Face Brush and Blush Brush though I wish I had purchased more!

The Core Collection ($20.46):
This face set comes with 4 brushes- the contour brush, pointed foundation brush, detailer brush and buffing brush (from left to right). My favourite has to be the countour brush as it fits pefectly into the hollows of my cheeks. I'm not a big fan of pointed foundation brushes but this one really allows you to build up the coverage of a liquid foundation. The detailer brush is perfect for concealer but I prefer to use it as a lip brush for precise lines. I didn't purchase the powder brush as I thought the buffing brush would work just the same but as this brush is quite dense, I can't sweep on my powder as I usually do.This brush works perfectly with any foundation though!

The Expert Face Brush ($10.23):
You will not believe how this brush has changed my makeup forever. The Expert Face Brush buffs in my liquid foundation so well that you can't even tell I'm wearing foundation. My skin looks and feels so much better when I apply my foundation with this brush. Definitely recommend this one!!

The Blush Brush ($10.23):
Words cannot describe how amazing this brush feels! It's soooo soft and fluffy you just want to keep stroking your face. I've never owned a dome shaped brush but I'm so glad I do now. It's perfectly shaped to fit right on top of your cheekbones to apply a lovely stroke of blush or highlighter. This is now a regular part of life.
If you would like to order from iHerb.com and receive $5 off your first order click here!

Let me what your favourite makeup brushes are in the comments :)

Pancakes for Dad's Birthday

Being the loving daughter I am, I decided to make my dad pancakes for breakfast as a birthday treat!
I've never made pancakes from scratch before so I decided to use a recipe from taste.com so nothing went horribly wrong.
They turned out great! Very fluffy and simply delicious! I topped them with maple syrup and fresh blueberries and strawberries.
The only criticism I have is that the mixture was a little too thick so some of the pancakes came out a bit doughy. Next time I think I will use a little less flour to try and make them less dense.
Overall they were a hit and my dad loved them!

October Favourites

Wait a second... Did somebody say it's November?!
It seems only yesterday that we were welcoming spring on the first day of September let alone the beginning of October.
As it's the first day of a new month, I thought I would share with you my October favourites!
Enjoy xx

Garnier Miscellar Cleansing Water 400ml- $11.95
You've probably heard by now about this legendary water that removes makeup like there's no tomorrow by every beauty blogger/youtuber under the sun. Well I can definitely vouch for that!
The Garnier Miscellar Cleansing Water is by far the best makeup remover I have ever used. It removes all my makeup (including that stubborn waterproof mascara) without leaving my skin feeling dry or irritated.
It's also great value for money compared to the Bioderma Sensibio which is $39.99 for 500ml.
Definitely give this one a try ladies !!

Kylie Minogue 'Darling' Eau De Parfum 75ml- $59
I'm the type of person who wears a different perfume everyday so it was really hard for me to pick out my favourite for this month. I decided to go with my newest edition, 'Darling' by Kylie Minogue.
This scent is a mix of fruits, florals and orientals which complement each other perfectly.
As scent is quite a personal thing, I would recommend giving this one a sniff and seeing if you like it!

Ps. It's $20 at Priceline until Wednesday! Get in quick :)

Rexona Ultra Dry Clinical Protection Anti-Perspirant Deodorant- $14.79
Now this one may be a little awkward for some but let's talk deodorants.
As Australia is soon approaching Summer, *does happy dance* it's starting to get a little sweaty!
But no need to fear, Rexona Clinical Protection is here :P
This anti-perspirant deodorant is the bomb.com, simple as that. It doesn't have much of a scent but you can purchase a fragrance edition.
It also has a really cool function where you twist the bottom to
release the product which adds a little bit of fun.
Rexona Clinical Protection is a little on the pricier side of deodorants
but if you can pick it up on sale, it's so worth it.
The whole range is 40% off at Priceline until Wednesday so make sure you pick one up!

Let me know what you've been loving this month in the comments below :)
